Time & Style Open Factory and showroom reopening at Meet Up Furniture Asahikawa 2025

Time & Style is pleased to announce the Open Factory at Time & Style Factory and the reopening of our showroom at the Asahikawa Design Center in Hokkaido, as part of the “Meet Up Furniture Asahikawa” exhibition, opening on 25 June 2025.
Since 2008, Time & Style Factory has been committed to the integrated production of furniture, sourcing logs from Hokkaido and other domestic forests, and overseeing every stage of manufacturing—from sawing and processing to the final finish. Today, over 80 percent of the timber we use is sourced in-house, enabling us to produce solid wood furniture of enduring quality for both domestic and international markets.

This year at Meet Up Furniture Asahikawa, we are proud to present a dining table featuring cast metal legs, produced in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture. Traditionally known for crafting Buddhist ritual objects and statues, Takaoka’s casting industry has more recently expanded into the realm of art and monumental works. For this project, we drew upon that same heritage to explore the unique expressive potential of copper and brass casting—materials rarely used in furniture. Through this collaboration, we seek to unveil new possibilities for this centuries-old craft, redefining it as a contemporary design language while honoring its roots.

In addition, our showroom at the Asahikawa Design Center has recently been renovated, unveiling a refreshed space dedicated to showcasing Time & Style ēdition—a collection born from our partnership with the Italian interior brand Boffi | DePadova in 2020. Deeply rooted in Japanese craftsmanship, the collection features solid wood furniture, precision-built cabinets, and lighting crafted from handmade washi paper. It is now presented in over 70 Boffi | DePadova showrooms worldwide.
